Pupcaton NY Policies
1. SERVICES AND BOOKING PROTOCOL
1.1 Meet & Greet: All services are subject to a mandatory Meet & Greet. Pupcation NY reserves the absolute right to decline service for any reason, including but not limited to pet temperament, safety concerns, or incompatibility, without obligation.
1.2 Booking & Deposits: To secure service dates, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-transferable. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of service.
1.3 Arrival Windows: For Drop-ins and Walks, Client acknowledges a two (2) hour arrival window (e.g., a "1 PM" visit may occur between 12 PM and 2 PM) to account for traffic, weather, or emergencies.
2. CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION
2.1 Walks & Drop-ins: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in a charge of 100% of the scheduled service fee.
2.2 Overnight Stays: Cancellations made with less than 3 days' (72 hours) notice will result in a charge of 50% of the total booking cost, in addition to the forfeiture of the non-refundable deposit.
2.3 Early Returns: No refunds or credits shall be issued for early returns or late departures by the Client once service has commenced.
3. HOME ACCESS, SECURITY, AND PRIVACY
3.1 Access: Client must provide functioning keys, entry codes, or lockbox access. A "Lockout Fee" equal to the service rate applies if entry is obstructed through no fault of the Company.
3.2 Third-Party Presence: For the safety of the Company’s staff and the Client’s pets, Client must disclose if any third party (cleaners, contractors, friends) will have access to the home. Pupcation NY disclaims all liability for pet escape, injury, home security breaches, or theft occurring during windows where third parties have access to the premises.
3.3 Surveillance: Company acknowledges the use of security cameras. However, cameras are strictly prohibited in private areas (bathrooms/guest bedrooms) during overnight stays. Undisclosed cameras in these areas may result in immediate termination of service without refund.
4. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND VETERINARY CARE
4.1 Vaccinations: Proof of Rabies vaccination is required by New York State Law. Client assumes all risk and financial responsibility for communicable diseases (e.g., Bordetella, Distemper) not required by the Company.
4.2 Leash Policy: All animals will remain on a fixed-length leash during outdoor activities. Off-leash play and public dog park visits are strictly prohibited.
4.3 Medical Emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, Company will attempt to contact Client. If unreachable, Company is authorized to seek care at the nearest emergency facility. Client authorizes care up to $500.00 unless otherwise specified and assumes all financial liability for veterinary costs.
5. LIABILITY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE
5.1 Pet-Inflicted Damage: Company is not liable for damage caused by the pet to the Client’s property (e.g., chewing, accidents) while the pet is left unattended between scheduled visits.
5.2 Home Systems: Company is not responsible for failures of home systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) or any resulting consequences (e.g., pet heat stroke due to AC failure) but agrees to notify Client upon discovery.
